Our Fish Oil and Other Certifications

Icelandirect holds numerous certifications regarding the importing of fish, salmon and other marine oils for both human and pet consumption. Our main source of fish oil is Iceland because the it consistently produces the highest quality fish oils available anywhere. While the main source of our (wild) salmon oil is Alaska, also renowned for producing the highest quality salmon oil on the planet.

Given the different origins and wide array of variance in fish oil quality, we take pride in the many certifications we have been awarded. You can rest assured, all bulk forms and private label fish oil products are certified and of the absolute best quality.

Iceland Premium

Iceland Responsible

ISO9001

MSC

If you’re selling a seafood supplement such as fish oil, it may be helpful to market a product with the MSC label or get the MSC certification. This is a certification offered by SCS Global Services, a third-party company. View the MSC Certification.

NSF

NSF is the only independent, third-party testing organization that offers true testing of dietary supplements. NSF does not simply evaluate test data submitted by manufacturers or analyze just a single sample of a product and give it our okay. We conduct product testing in our own accredited laboratories to confirm that the actual contents of the supplement product match those printed on the label. We also check to make sure no unlisted ingredients or potentially harmful levels of impurities are present in products that carry our certification. NSF Sport

NSF’s global Certified for Sport® program helps athletes, dieticians, coaches, and consumers make safer decisions when choosing sports supplements. The Certified for Sport® certification is the only independent third-party certification program recognized by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and the Canadian Football League. Certified for Sport® is also recommended by the NFL, NBA, PGA, LPGA, CCES, CPSDA, iNADO, Ironman, NASCAR, Taylor Hooton Foundation, and many other organizations seeking to mitigate the risks of contaminated dietary supplements. View The NSF Sport Certification.

NOAA

Many seafood products, it’s important to inspire confidence in consumers. There can be issues witmercury, PCBs, and bacteria that can be harmful to humans when consumed.  View The NOAA Certification.

Prop 65

Proposition 65 is a sort of warning you find in many consumer products sold in California. It is only required in the state of California to warn consumers about the risks that a product may pose. View Proposition 65 Certification.

USDA
